Here in Texas it's called a DBA (doing business as).. Really easy to do -
it's like "Business Lite". Lots of mom and pops use it.

Actually, this could be a decent idea.  It would also let you count your
internet/hosting bills as business expenses, and deduct them from your
business income for tax purposes.  Although I do this anyway for income from
clients, without a business license (I can do this in WA - not sure how it
works in other states, but I assume you can, you just use your ss# instead
of a business id), you just have to fill out a few other tax forms for self
employment.
