[mythtv-users] trouble running client/server mythtv (MYTH_PROTO_VERSION err)

mythtv-0.14/setup/setup for backend 
  it's IP address of 192.168.1.60
  master backend is 127.0.0.1  (couldn't use 192.168.1.60 here or it
would try to connect to it instead of running as a master backend)
  default port settings

for front end:
  it's IP address of 192.168.1.20
  master backend is 192.168.1.60
  default port settings

Neither machine is running shorewall or any other firewall software.
I don't see port blocking as an issue as ssh, nfs, etc. are connecting
fine.

When I try to run the frontend, it generates the following error log:

The backend doesn't report any errors.  It's error log is:
