nxtvepg _may_ be an option. It uses teletext information broadcasted with the 
(analog) videosignal. AFIK norway is not on the list of supported countries 
as at least one station has to broadcast the information. But it should be 
worth a try.

The latest version 2.7.0pre4 can even be run run in parallel to mythtv. It 
removes the need for internet acces for tv-only setups.

Other xmltv issues are better kept to the xmltv mailing lists.
