[mythtv-users] mythtvsetup won't run, exits with errors (Fedora)

OK, I admit it... I don't get it.

I built this system on Fedora Core1 with ATRPMS by Axel Trimm according to Jarod 
Wilson's Fedora Myth(TV)ology::HOWTO

When I attempt to run mythsetup I get:

Unable to connect to database!
Driver error was: [1/-1]
QMYSQL3: Unable to connect
Database error was: 
Access denied for user 'mythtv at localhost'

Unable to open database:
Driver error was:
QMYSQL3: Unable to connect
Database error was: 
Access denied for user 'mythtv at localhost'

I'm at a loss. I've been searching for the answer for 5 days and I have a LUG demo 
next Wednesday, so I'm beginning to panic...

Any ideas? I've gone over my notes again and again, and repeated a few steps to no 
avail. I must have missed something.
