[mythtv-users] IR Control of new Myth box

This is what i use:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=80-100-201&depa=1&section=3

It comes with a usb receiver and the remote. This is also a shameless plug
since i wrote the lirc driver for it. But it works relatively well, and
the usb receiver apparently works with other remotes too if you dont like
the feel of this one. People have posted the myth configuration files they
use with this remote, which has some jump keys (it was built for windows
media center PCs).

Cost wise i believe it is comparable to buying a cheap remote and building
a homebrew receiver (the schematics on lirc.org).

I'm not sure what IR hardware I need to connect to the computer to use a remote. I looked at lirc.org, and there seem to be quite a few choices, as well as actually building one. The drawings made no sense to me however, so I think that's out of the question.

I've looked at lirc.org, but there is a ton of information with links literally all over the internet for everything and anything. I'm looking for something specific to Myth, and even more specific, I'm curious to find out what other users of Myth are using. Is it a wide array of different IR hardware, or is it all pretty much the same thing, such as irman or something?
