I think all this stuff is being addressed in the big scheduler rip out 
that's happening in the CVS version ATM.  Looks like the scheduler will 
know about live TV, so when you start up live TV it'll automatically 
reschedule everything to not use the live TV card where possible, and when 
you exit live TV it'll reschedule everything to run on all cards instead.
