[mythtv-users] CVS pegging my cpu and Disk I/O

So, I have been running mythtv stable for a while now, and last night I
decided to see what was going on in CVS.

(side note: shouldn't the cvs code be showing version .16, not .15?)

After compiling everything and upgrading, I started the backend, and
immediately my hard drive lit up like christmas, and my cpu pegged at
99%. Being the curious geek that I am, I checked the mythbackend logs,
and saw this:

WOW that's a lot of commercial skipping going on!!! I know there is new
commercial skipping code, actually that is what pressed me to upgrade.
But shouldn't this be going only when the cpu is idle? As it is, the
cpu/hd haven't stopped (going on almost 12 hours now). I had to take the
cover off the mythtv case, and open our cabinet door to get some air
flow in there.

Tv is all but unwatchable. I thought maybe the cpu was spinning on
something, but even stopping and starting the backend shows the same
thing...it starts, logs that it's commercial skipping, and pegs the
resources. I'm starting to get concerned over the life of my hard drive.

Any thoughts/explainations?
