Even worse: at 50 MB/s, you're already at or near the expected practically 
attainable bandwidth of a switched 100TX ethernet.  Some expensive cards can 
sustain more than about 50% the speed but it's fairly rare you see above 60%.
And on wireless, the expected bandwidth is even lower, near 25% of rated.
