[mythtv-users] Does the PVR-250 support btaudio?

Excellent, thanks... didn't realise that about the 250, I'll have to have a
read up before I buy but it looks like a good option. I'll probably keep my
bt as the second card (p'n'p maybe).

Thanks again

Why should it support btaudio ? The sound stream is embedded in the MPEG
stream coming out of the card so there is no need for an extra audio
device. Just plug the card in, install the ivtv drivers and off you go.
Just adjust the sound parameters of the ivtv modules to the correct
standard (NTSC/PAL sound system)

The quality is a major improvement over the bttv cards, furthermore
since the card is doing the encoding stuff already, your CPU can lean
back or do other important stuff.

There is only one way to find out.. Try :-) If you don't get any sound
through btaudio (remember the btaudio device has a mixer which needs to
be setup too!) then it doesn't support btaudio and you have to make a
connection between 'audio out' from the TV card to the 'line in' (NOT
mic!) of your (onboard) sound card.

I'll drink to that :-)
