I was confused by this when i set my myth box up in the UK. Tuning in a telly
or a video always involved scanning the airwaves. However this isn't necassery
with myth / linux / ivtv. What you need are the channel / numbers frequencies
for your local transmitter - you should be able to obtain these from your
broadcaster and insert them into the channel setup or directly into the
database.

An example of the sort of information you're looking for would be
http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/tv_transmitters/tv_rowridge.shtml - while thats
obviously no good outside the south of england - it'll give you an idea of what
information you're after

So are you saying there is *NO* way of auto-scanning for open air
channels with PVR350??

Isn't there any external program for it that would work with the PVRx50?

Thanks for your input!
