The Fedora Core 2 kernel is 2.6.5-based, with Red Hat patches. The 
nvidia driver isn't entirely safe for Red Hat's 2.6.5 or the kernel.org 
2.6.6 with 4kstacks enabled, but an updated driver is in the works. As 
for lirc, see http://atrpms.net/dist/fc2/...
