Are you using the 350 for TV output? If so, it sounds like you aren't using 
the onboard decoder, because if you were, cpu should be next to nothing. You 
have to enable it in the frontend's setup section. I forget the exact path to 
it. If you're not using the 350's output, you may be SOL if you don't have a 
video card with good Xv acceleration.
