I would suggest that you install the mythtv directshow filters 
(http://dsmyth.sf.net) and then edit the mythweb conf file to use the 
myth:// syntax (around lines 46-53 in config/conf.php).

I eventually plan to set this up as an auto-detect thing (if you're 
connecting with windows, it'll automatically use the myth:// syntax), 
but haven't had time to do so yet.
