So you can go with a low-power CPU like a C3 and not have to
listen to the whining of CPU, GPU, and power-supply fans.

You're not just getting a tuner, you're also getting a hardware
MPEG-2 decoder.  For something that's strictly a frontend, it
would be ideal if you cand find hardware decoding w/o the tuner
and encoder (and with faster X performance).
