Actually, I know the hardware *can* support audio over PCI, because 
that's how it works in Windoze.  What I don't know, is exactly what 
hardware they're using to do it, or exactly how to configure the 
saa7134 driver for it.

Unfortunately, ASUS seems to think that because the DigiMatrix ships 
with all the Windoze drivers needed to make it run there, they don't 
need to provide detailed documentation for its components (even though 
it is sold as a "barebones" system, and clearly is targeted at 
hobbyists).

I did find that there's a rather small 3 pin connector on the TV-in 
card which currently has nothing connected to it - If I'm right, and it 
is a sound out connector, I could connect it to the AUX input on the 
motherboard, eliminating the need for an external loopback connector, 
and get the internal tuner's sound working as well.
