[mythtv-users] MythTV install hangup - Mplayer

mplayer is extremely easy to build from source. Download from here:
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/dload.html

extract it, enter the directory and run:
./configure
make && make install

Hi All,

I am attempting to install MythTV on a SuSE 9.0 system using Olsen's 
RPM's (http://folk.uio.no/oeysteio/apt/suse/9.0-i586/RPMS.olsen/), but I

seem to have hit a snag. While trying to install KMplayer I get an error

telling me I need Mplayer. I do a search in YaST and come up blank. 
Going to Mplayer HQ tells me it may be quite a deal to install it. Is 
there an easier way?

Also an easy way to install ivtv.
