Right now using the default settings I've recorded three half-hour 
shows, and it's taken up 6 GB of drive space. (ie: 4 GB/hour) That seems 
to be a bit excessive to me.

1 per hour sounds more reasonable to start, and I can always improve the 
quality if I feel like it.
