[mythtv-users] Editing old recordings

You can copy the .nuv files into your TV directory, then run a program
in the contrib/ directory.. I believe it's myth.rebuilddatabase.pl.
That will put the .nuv files back into the database.

If you're running CVS, the mythcommflag program should redetect the
commercial stops and put the needed markup back in the db.

I am running KnoppMyth with Myth v0.15-1, and mythcommflag hung at
99%, upgrading to CVS fixed it, so if you're in my situation, an
upgrade to CVS is a must.

| I have some old recordings of films (.nuvs) from an old myth
| installation from which I have lost the database information. Is
| there any way I can use the excellent myth editing function to
| produce a cutlist and then transcode them? Are there any other ways
|  of doing it?
