[mythtv-users] Sound but no video - help!

I have Mythtv installed ok, recording is fine, programme guide is fine - 
but no video playback.

The ringbuf1.nuv file is created and playable with mplayer - but with 
Mythtv I only get the sound.

The Mythtv frontend reduces in size to a small window top left of screen 
but no playback screen comes up.

I am running Suse 9.1 on an Athlon 1800 system with Nvidia Gforce Ti200 
graphics.

I use a Nova-T DVB card which is fine with Xine and Mplayer (and records 
fine with Mythtv).

Surprisingly when I view the recorded programmes screen the thumbnail 
movies are shown correctly.

Any guidance appreciated.....  I have tried resetting 
XV_AUTOPAINT_COLORKEY to no avail.
