Yes, that is exactly what i thought. The frontend just needs to stream the 
file. Because captureing on the backend works fine.

But it looks like i am not the only one having problems with watching LiveTV 
with splittend back/frontend machines. I received a mail, telling me the 
exactly same issues. So would be intersting if anybody else got the problems 
aswell.
