[mythtv-users] Any reason for PVR-350 over 250?

Let me chime in with what I know about the PVR 350. My
setup currently uses a PVR with both TV in and out. TV
Out wasn't that hard to setup and get going to be
honest. The stability is pretty decent and it doesn't
die nearly as much as my nvidia based attempts have.
The picture is also crystal clear.
That said I can say this. Do not buy a 350 based card
unless it is the same price as a 250.
Why? Because you are locked into using your system for
video replay only. DVD playback becomes tricky, and
all the displays and menus run really slow because of
the lack of Xv support. Most of this is setup issues
though. I am now moving AWAY from the tv out on the
350 to a nvidia setup. Partially because I am moving
to HDTV, but also because the hauppauge is to limiting
when it comes to menu/update speeds, and add on
modules that are usable.
