Doesn't Xine already provide all of this? My DVD setup uses Xine, and DVD's 
start full screen, without the control bar, and it works plenty fine with 
Myth. I highly doubt PowerDVD will support Xv, ALSA and LIRC natively...?

Although I can understand you wanting to use a commercial solution; just 
don't mind being an IP criminal with DeCSS myself :)
