Well, I checked last night using femon and all appears well.  The FE remains locked with a BER of 3 or 4 and uncorrected packlet count of 0.

I also moved the PCI card to a new slot on the mobo that does not share an IRQ.  No difference at all :(

Having had a quick look at the source (I'm new to DVB technology), I begin to suspect that the card simply isn't returning data from the video PID (or there's something going wrong with setting up the filters etc). As the card works with dvbstream I'm beginning to think that there's something wrong (or just different) with the way that myth tunes/inits the card.  I'll unwrap the source

Some advice/pointers would be very much appreciated!.
