[mythtv-users] mythtvsetup segmentation fault

I'm working my way through Jarod C. Wilson's MythTV setup document, and 
I've gotten as far as step 14 (Set Up MythTV).  On running mythtvsetup, 
I get the following:

Segmentation fault

In short, I tell it to start fresh, and before it does anything else, it 
segmentation faults.  There is a pause of about 50 seconds before it seg 
faults, and during this period, the CPU is pretty much pegged.  Any idea 
what I have to do to fix this?

My system: a Pentium 4 2.6 GHz processor on an Asus P4PE mobo, running 
Red Hat 9; a Hauppauge WinTV PVR350 capture card, and an nVidia GEForce4 
TI4200, oem'ed by MSI.
