That delay is a pain. I don't think there is an option other than abandoning 
the DTV box's menus and using Myth's exclusively.

The remote for the 350 works great, although you would do well to upgrade to 
something like the radio shack 15-2116. 

Oh, and you will need to control the dtv box via a serial cable. Well worth 
the setup...
