Hi,
I have just completed mythTV installation following Jarod's web page.
Video/Audio is working great.
lirc is working for my PVR-350 grey remote, there was no issue here.
Now only one detail is missing, the IR blaster, which is a MUST because
I have a digital Sattelite receiver and it does not have a serial port.
I am running the following kernel:
2.4.22-1.2163.nptl_32.rhfc1.at
I did not find instructions on Jarod's page about the IR blaster. I
looked on the MythTV Doc and could not get it to work.
I bought the Actisys ACT-IR200L.
I cannot even modprobe lirc_sir, it systematically hangs the machine.
Has anybody got an IR Blaster to work with this kernel?
How can I find out wheter or not lirc_sir.o has been compiled with
support for the Actisys?
Some lirc tools like 'rc' which are needed for an IR blaster seem to be
missing from my installation.
Thanks,
Emmanuel.
