If I'm recalling correctly, there are ATI cards that will output 1920x1080i 
modes with their Windows drivers, but I'm not certain about their Linux 
drivers. I know for a fact that nVidia's Linux drivers do NOT support 
outputting interlaced modes at the moment.

I need to haul my XP box back out to the TV. My understanding of modes has 
increased quite a bit since I last played with PowerStrip...
