This is propably slightly off-topic but has anybody everconsidered using 
something like mencoder to reencode DivX or Xvid to MPEG-1 on the fly and 
then send it to the hardware decoder of the PVR-350. I know some guy managed 
to get analog tv via the tv-out of dvb-c cards that way.

What is the point for myth-users? Eventually it might be possible to patch 
mplayer to "-vo mpeg-1:/dev/video16". This would make the yuv-mode of the 
ivtv-driver superflous.

Just a thought.
