[mythtv-users] The Three Features MythTV is Missing from Perfection

I know devs, especially Isaac, hate this kind of thread from people like me
who are pretty much unproductive and incapable of helping out... :) BUT I
feel that perhaps with enough support, we could get the following three
features, which don't seem too hard to code and I think MythTV critically
needs:
 
1. Record now - While watching LiveTV, hitting a key will either
    a. Save the buffer up to the current point
    b. Start recording from the current point
    c. Save the buffer from the beginning and continue recording
 
2. Anti-ESC mechanism that warns you before exiting or changing a channel
while you in a LiveTV buffer -- losing a buffer because of accidental
keypress sucks!
 
3. Complete manual schedule (just like a calendar program) with the ability
to not only select times, but also select days of the week and perhaps even
more detailed recurrence (IE exceptions)
 
P.S. Please note that this is my first feature request. I have waited a good
three months before such a post, and have thought it out for a very long
time :D

P.P.S. I think it really defeats the purpose of people hijacking a feature
request thread with their requests... So please stay on topic ;)
