Not always (SAA7134 boards can capture audio over PCI themselves, for
example), and the MPEG-2 hardware encoding boards mux the audio with the
video into a single MPEG feed.
To me, it looks like what appears to be an SVideo connector has far too
many pins, so there's probably a break-out cable that comes with it, and
splits into audio + video (probably SVideo + composite..)
