[mythtv-users] Nuvexport and Interlacing

Hi,

I'm saving my MythTV files in the MPEG4 format using
software encoders. Are these video files interlaced?

I assume they are, since NTSC video is interlaced and
that's what we are storing. I also know that one
playback option in MythTV is to de-interlace.

But, in the SVCD module of nuvexport, there's an
option on mpeg2enc that says:

-interlace-mode 0 which means source is not
interlaced. Is this correct?

I'm trying to build an export_DVD module. I have it
working to some extent, but scenes with motion cause
strange effects. The edges of moving objects look
weird. Someone on the ffmpeg mailing list thought
I should turn this on.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Mike
