[mythtv-users] Problem switching channels

Hey!

Alright this is strange, channel switching really is giving me a
headache. I set cardinput.externalcommand to /usr/bin/changechannel.sh,
which looks like this:

#!/bin/bash
echo $0 $1 >> /tmp/changechannel
/usr/bin/v4lctl setchannel $1

When I try to switch a channel, the correct channel is shown in
/tmp/changechannel, but it simply won't change. Here an example of
/tmp/changechannel:

/usr/bin/changechannel.sh SE16
/usr/bin/changechannel.sh E2
/usr/bin/changechannel.sh E10

Now, when I just copy & paste the last line of /tmp/changechannel, and
execute it, it bloody changes the channel...

mythbackend doesn't give me any useful error messages.

My setup in a few words: My backend is a gentoo box with a bt848
framegrabber card, my frontend is a xbox with that mythtv-xbox mini
distribution from http://bit.blkbk.com/bittorrent/, 0.13 progfs.
