Running the FC1 documented by Jarod. Mobo is Aopen MK79G-N with Nvidia
NForce2-G onboard. I have tried building my own XF86Config-4 based on
the nvidia read me doc as well as the XF86Config.nvidia that is
generated with Axel's modules.
I have reloaded FC1, done the kernel update, and installed the nVidia
drivers as per:
# apt-get install nvidia-graphics4363-kmdl-$MYKERNEL
# apt-get install nvidia-graphics4363
After the install X restarts fine. When I add the TV Out options X
fails. I have tried starting X with and without the PC monitor also
attached. With SVIDEO attached and defined I see a few blinks from the
tv and nothing more. With composite attached and configured I see the
video card go through post and it displays memory on the screen. Then
when X starts a few flickers and nothing more. Can it be something as
simple as the Monitor0 definition? Is anyone else running a Toshiba 32"
TV? I have had no luck googling the specs for the Toshiba.
Here is the error section of /var/log/XFree86.0.log
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module!

One other item of note. Since Aopen doesn't sell the mobo adapter I am
using my home built composite and svideo out adapter. Since I get the
clear memory post displayed on the TV I am assuming that composite is
working correctly with this adapter. I am certain I will never buy
another Aopen product.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
My somewhat more detailed notes are here:
