[mythtv-users] Upgrading to latetest CVS of MythTV

I am having some problems with Myth .13 and ivtv 0.1.9 where when fast 
forwarding or skipping forward in live tv Myth will hang. I can ssh 
into my box and kill mythtv, but the image is still frozen on the tv. I 
have a PVR-350 and am running Fedora Core 1.

It has been suggested to me to try using the latest CVS of Myth .13. 
Since I used Jarod's instructions, I installed the entire mythtv suite 
and dependencies using : apt-get install mythtv-suite. If I am going to 
download and compile the latest CVS of myth, do I need to uninstall the 
mythtv-suite? Or will using "make" and "make install" install latest 
CVS of MythTV correctly over the older version?
