Hey thanks but I finally got it figured out. The rpm's at ATrpms are working with the M179. I knew I wasn't crazy. But the problem I'm still having is the pinkish-blue vertical lines in the background ALL the time. They never go away even after reboot or firmware change or kernel change. This seems to be a known problem but thats another thread. Thanks anyway.
