Hi all,
I have been running Myth fine on a Single retail PVR-250 setup for a
while now on an older P3-750Mhz machine. I recently just got one of
the OEM PVR-250's from ebay. At first I thought it was DOA b/c it
wouldn't work at all in my old P3. I tried to run it dual with the
retail card and by itself, both times the machine couldn't find it
(using lspci -v). I figured my P3 was to old to use the card. So I
made my gaming machine into a dual boot machine and installed the OEM
card in it. This machine is a Athlon XP-1800. Luckly the OEM card
works in this machine. So for the past couple of days I've been
running a Master/Slave backend configuration.
This morning I was going to make the Athlon machine a dual tuner
backend but ran into problems. Both the OEM and retail card are found
and configured. I have /dev/video0 and /dev/video1. If I do a 'cat
/dev/video0 > /tmp/vid0' the entire machine locks up. I have to do a
hard reset to get it back. But doing 'cat /dev/video1 > /tmp/vid1'
works fine. So even though both cards are found and configured it
looks like only one is working. I rebooted into windows and the same
thing happens, if it uses the first card the machine locks up hard.
Anyone have any idea's on how I can get both cards to work in a
single machine? I am using CVS myth and Lastest-cvs tarball for IVTV
downloaded on the 8th. Both machines are running Gentoo. I have tried
moving the cards around in different pci slots to no avail.
Thanks
