Hmmm, looks like there is a firewall between the frontend and
backend so that the communication between them is closed somehow.

The new QSocketDevice code seems to pretty much ignore errors
messages (much like the RingBuffer), so I'll add this to my Todo
list (since the RingBuffer one is already there),
but I can't promise that I will fix the bug.
