I found that under some resolutions if I turn on extra audio buffering, 
it plays slightly FAST.  In other words, a one hour show finishes in 
around 50 minutes (haven't timed it, but you could visibly see and hear 
it)  The audio and video stay in sync.  Changing my compression settings 
seemed to affect this.

It would be interesting to time playback under different settings to see 
what happens.  It could be all "perception" and have no real basis, but 
it certainly "felt" fast.
