There was a hack for ivtv that let you specify its tuner type with a 
setting that didn't interfere with bttv, but I've never used it, nor do 
I know if it still works with current ivtv, as it was some time back I 
remember seeing it. I'd suggest searching the ivtv mailing list for the 
answer.
