I haven't tried mpeg4, but if I use the EM6000 as a
frontend driven by a PVR250 on a backend system, I can
watch live TV perfectly at 480x480 4Kbps on the video
192kbps on the audio.  If I'm at 720x480, the audio
gets ever so slightly out of sync.

If/when I get around to installing mythvideo on my
frontend system I can test out the mpeg4 playback.
