My understanding is that the OEM versions generally don't support IR. I have
the one that is commonly called a Freestyle card, and it does not support a
remote.
Then again, I don't see why the lack of a remote o nthe card should matter,
with so many ways to provide better remote support. The hardware to build an
IR receiver is in the same price range or less than a good remote control. (I
built mine for about $16, and that's about what I paid for a new Tivo remote
I use with it. ;)
