[mythtv-users] Problem with CD Writer on EPIAM-6000

I have just started getting into creating my MythBox, withan EPIAM-6000. First 
stage is just as an mp3 stereo player for my lounge.

I'm having massive problems getting the LG Cd Writer to work on my Slackware 
9.1 based system (kernel 2.4.22). I keep getting drive not ready errors, and 
scsi error messages (using ide-scsi emulation). When I try to mount a cd i 
get drive not ready/bad superblock errors on all the cd's I try, but did 
actually successfully manage to mount a cd once, and other times have done a 
partial mount (can ls the top level directory but all other directoires were 
blank)

Is there an issue with the EPIA boards ide interface and LG CD Writers ?

Anyone else have an EPIA M series board with an LG Cd Writer happily working ?
