[mythtv-users] mythtv, lirc and "key mover" capability

Lance,

I have the same remote at home (it's absolutely great,
I love it).

If you're using the key mover function, then yes, in
order to get all of the buttons to work when using the
TiVo settings, you have to make the keys that you move
be similar to TiVo keys.  That would mean you'd have
to get the list of extended codes for the TiVo remote
protocol, and program those into the remote.

I don't know about the capabilities of the Packard
Bell receiver, but you might want to see if it can
accept RC-5 codes (since it's very well documented). 
If so, then you can use a method similar to Jarod's
Radio Shack remote.

I'm using my 6131 with the IR receiver on a Hauppauge
PVR-250.  The PVR-250 receiver only accepts RC-5, so I
was able to put the 6131 in RC-5 mode by using the VCR
code 0081 (which I mapped to my PVR button), and then
put in some extended codes for the buttons that didn't
map out.  Works great.
