I used Fedora and followed these instructions:

This approach helped me avoid xmltv dependency issues (if you have them
then you know what I mean).

I used very basic hardware and a PVR 250 and had no problems.

Hello.

   If I use the recommended hardware for my PC, what are the problems I 
am most likely to encounter regarding getting MythTV up and running?

   Is RedHat the recommended distro to use?
