That's a pretty good idea!  I agree, parallel port might work best in this
situation.  I wish I had some coding experience :)

I think it would be very nice to wire an LED to an unused port on the myth
box and have it light up when it's recoding.  Right now just looking at
the box you have to guess what's going on.  Is it recording?  Is it
sitting there doing nothing?

At first I thought about the serial port but lots of micro-atx and
mini-itx boards only have one serial port and a lot of users are already
using it for an IR receiver.

So what about the parrellal port? I doubt there's to many people with
printers on their Myth boxes.

If someone knows how is there a way to hook up an LED to two of the pins
on the parrellal port and make Myth Scheduler trigger it when it's
recording?

What do you guys think?
