I did have a frontend on 11b (or rather the backend on 11b and a remote
frontend on the router/workstation, but that's irrelevant here) and was
able to watch live tv and recorded programs at 352x576 at 3000/4000bps.
That's without any traffic on the wlan and the accesspoint on a swich,
not a hub. When my wife opened the laptop I'd get stutters. with
2500/3500 you should be fine with low traffic. I did route cat5 to the
backend in the meantime as I want to use the workstation as a slave
backend as well.
