[mythtv-users] DishNetwork PVR remote with what IR?

I have been using a DishNetwork PVR ( original Dishplayer) for years now
and would like to continue to use the DishPlayer remote with Myth.  
anyone ever seen this done?  what IR reciever works with brand name
remotes?  I have a Haupgage IR reciever on my pvr-250 but im not holding
out on using that for there remotes.

Should I buy a different IR reciever?

Any ideas?
