That's really surprising, I've had no trouble at all with a frontend
(laptop) over 802.11b.  I've been doing it since back at the 0.10
release (IIRC). There were some nice additions to make it even more
responsive for the 0.14 release.

I have no trouble watching anywhere in the house - even two floors
removed from my access point.  So you can put me down in the category of
"had success".
