Hello,
those fancy full-ATX HTPC cases are basically impossible
to purchase here, so I' reverting back to the original idea
of a 4-PCI slots micro-ATX board. I've found three of them
(thanks for the help):
ASUS A7S266-VM, with SiS 740 graphics
ASUS A7S-VM, with SiS 730S graphics
INTEL D845GVAD2, with 845GV graphics
I already checked out that the SiS 740 can't do hardware OpenGL
under Linux, so I have to choose between SiS 730S and i845GV.
Do you have any idea about which of them works better with Mythtv?
Also , I enclose the output of (xvinfo ; xdpyinfo) on a 845GL,
it is not so meaningful for me, but maybe it is for you ;-)
Can you tell me if this chip is missing any important feature
(relatively to usage with mythtv) and how would these missing
features impatct? I mean, will I necessarily get lower quality
pictures, of will the missing features be done in software,
so it could be compensated with CPU power?
