[mythtv-users] Recording stops once I start watching

This may not have anything to do with your problems but sounds
reasonably similar to a few issues on here.

I have a Shuttle SK41G & PVR-350 too and was getting regular hangs -
completely dead.

I finally tracked it down to the advert detection that was running after
a program had finished recording (probably not directly caused by this
but maybe a side effect - it did work those disks hard!)

Anyways, switched this off in the setup and not hung for over a week
now!

Could be worth a try if you've got it switched on.

Matt

I have the same setup and the same issues
Shuttle SK41G (FX11 motherboard)
Hauppauge PVR-250
10GB Maxtor HD
80GB Maxtor HD
512MB PC2700 DDR
I have been reading on the ivtv maillist and it seems to have been
tracked
down to an on screen display issue. Any ideas if u can turn it off?
